Rocco Siffredi Biography
Arguably the world's most recognized adult film star, Rocco Siffredi has revolutionized the style of porn with his combination of suave, sophisticated Italian charm and rough, sometimes brutal sexual perversity. Rocco Siffredi was born in Ortona Mare in Italy on May 4, 1964. At the age of 16, he enlisted in the Navy, leaving two years later to help his brother, Giorgio, at his Paris restaurant. In 1985, in a red-light club, Rocco met Gabriel Pontello, famous 1980s Italian porn actor. They became great friends, and Gabriel introduced Rocco to the adult entertainment business. Rocco started out doing photo layouts for hardcore magazines. When he was introduced to producer Marc Dorcel and director Michel Ricaud, they cast him in his first adult film, Belle d'Amour. He left the business for two years after falling in love with Tina, a beautiful English model. During this time, Rocco gained a name as a fashion model in London for the Gawins agency. When that relationship soured, Rocco resolved to change careers, and made a call to porn star Teresa Orlowsky; he decided to return to the adult business. Fantastica Moana from Carlo Reale was Rocco's first Italian movie. In 1990, Rocco went to Los Angeles and met John Leslie, who gave Rocco the lead in Curse of the Catwoman. He had cracked the American market and begun his journey to world stardom. Rocco teamed up with John Stagliano for several entries in the Buttman series and the award-winning Face Dance Parts 1 & 2. Through the first half of the 1990s, Rocco appeared in countless American and European videos and films (including Wild Attraction, Grand Prix of Australia, Dr. Rocco and Mr. Sodo, Portrait Passion, Ejacula, House of Dreams, Secrets and John Leslie's Chameleons), winning armfuls of adult industry awards, including AVN's Male Performer of the Year Award, which was actually established for Rocco. He has also been inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame. In 1994, Rocco began working as a director under the Evil Angel umbrella. His first Evil Angel releases were Sandy Insatiable and the bestselling Never Say Never to Rocco Siffredi. Since then, he's produced an amazing body of work; including high-budget features such as Rocco Never Dies, RoccoFunClub and The Ass Collector, and vignette/gonzo movies like his True Anal Stories, Initiations, Nasty Tails, Rocco Ravishes... and Rocco: Animal Trainer series. In 1999, Rocco starred in his first theatrical movie, the art film Romance directed by Catherine Breillat (she later cast Rocco in her 2003 drama Anatomy of Hell). Publicity and interviews have increased his mainstream exposure, and Rocco earned even more kudos for his role as Antonio, the fashion designer swept into a dark world of S&M in John Stagliano's award-winning 35mm film The Fashionistas. For Rocco, his family comes first, then his friends and his native land of Ortona where he frequently visits. Back in 1993, he had met a beautiful Hungarian girl named Rosa at the Cannes Film Festival, and was smitten. Rocco was set to shoot the movie Bodyguard, but the lead actress couldn't make the flight. Rosa decided to take part (her only onscreen sex role) under the agreement that she would be exclusively with him. They now live together in Budapest, are happily married and have two beautiful sons.
